U.S. providing $308 million to help Afghanistan citizens

Afghan. (KYMA, KECY) - The U.S. is giving $308 million to independent humanitarian organizations in Afghanistan.

The National Security Council says the money will go toward shelter, essential health care, emergency food, water, and hygiene services amid the COVID-19 pandemic and winter season.

The U.S. is also providing one million additional COVID-19 vaccines.
