Officials have named the new commander of the Asotin County Jail.
Former Asotin County corrections deputy Nate Uhlorn, who currently works for the Washington State Department of Corrections, has accepted the job.
Uhlorn replaces Jim Smith who is retiring at the end of the month after seven years as commander of the jail.
Uhlorn’s will assume his duties February 1st.
