What could be more annoying or concerning than constant iPhone crashes that leave you pondering whether or not you need to shell out a ton of money on a brand new phone? Crashing is far from a normal reaction for your device, but if you are experiencing this problem, before you spend a dime at the Apple store, it’s worth trying out a few hacks that tech experts rely on when their phones are acting up. Tech experts swear by this hack for fixing your iPhone when it keeps crashing — give it a try and you may just find yourself with a phone that feels brand new again.

Reset The Settings

There are a few possible culprits behind your crashing iPhone, including faulty apps that keep crashing and outdated software. But, according to Andre Flynn, the founder of gadnets.com, the best hack to fix your iPhone while it keeps crashing is to reset all the settings of the iPhone.

“Resetting helps the iPhone to get back to its normal situation and work properly,” Flynn says. Often, the iPhone is unable to maintain so many settings at a single time and it starts to crash again and again while using it. Resetting the iPhone is the best way to keep it safe and work it faster than before without crashing.”

The iPhone can be reset easily by visiting the Settings app and tapping on the General option that directs you to reset the iPhone, Flynn says. “Click on reset and then reset all settings. After the iPhone reset, you will have to reenter all the details like the new password, wifi password, Bluetooth connection, GPS system, and all necessary permissions.”

In order to prevent future crashing from happening, it’s also important to set up your iPhone for success. This means always making sure that your software is updated and making sure that your device is backed up, just in case a crash occurs, so that you can be sure you don’t lose any of your precious data. To check for software updates, go to General > Software Update. If an iOS update is available, tap Download & Install.
