The third episode of The Book of Boba Fett was released on Disney+ on Wednesday, January 12.
Titled "The Streets of Mos Espa," the episode revealed a surprise cameo from Danny Trejo in a role that will likely shape the show's eponymous bounty hunter (Temuera Morrison) in future episodes.

Who Does Danny Trejo Play in 'The Book of Boba Fett'?
Trejo makes his debut in the Star Wars franchise halfway through Episode 3 of the Disney+ show when he arrives with a Rancor that has been gifted to Boba by Jabba the Hutt's twin relatives.
His character, simply dubbed the Rancor Trainer, takes the surprisingly docile beast to the underground lair where its predecessor lived during Jabba's rule of the domain.
Boba comments on how calm the creature is and Trejo's character tells him it's because the beast is "depressed."
He also tells the bounty hunter that the Rancor will imprint on the first human it sets its eyes on, and allows Boba to be the one to stand in front of it when the beast opens his eyes.
Boba immediately takes a shining to the creature and the Rancor Trainer tells him how other clans would ride on the Rancor's back, which is something that the bounty hunter is also keen to learn to do.
When Boba is called away suddenly, Trejo's Rancor Trainer walks up to the creature and tells him not to "worry" because the bounty hunter will be back, seemingly showing that it has successfully imprinted on the Mandalorian.
Trejo's character will likely have a regular appearance on the Disney+ show so that he can teach Boba how to train the Rancor, as well as ride it.
It is currently unclear how many episodes Trejo will appear in of The Book of Boba Fett, but the show will have seven in total.
The actor's second cousin is director Robert Rodriguez, who he frequently collaborates with on projects whether they be on the big or small screen.
Rodriguez is both a director and executive producer on The Book of Boba Fett, so it makes sense that he would want to once again work with Trejo in a Star Wars production.
The filmmaker also worked as a director for The Mandalorian Season 2, and he directed the sixth episode, "The Tragedy," which re-introduced Boba Fett to the sci-fi franchise's universe.
