Euphoria season two kicked off this week with a seriously dramatic first episode, which saw a love triangle emerge between Maddy, Cassie and Nate, and Fezco's backstory take centre stage.

But the actor who plays Fez, Angus Cloud, has revealed his character was almost killed off in the first series of the show, meaning Euphoria would look *very* different right now.

The 23-year-old actor explained to GQ that the show's creator Sam Levinson had plans for Fez to die, but changed his mind thanks to the character's development in season one.

"I was supposed to die in season one, bro," Cloud said, "I don't know, but apparently, because they cast me off the street, I guess the character of Fezco was [never meant to stick around]. I don't even know how. I never saw that script. No one ever told me."

He continued, "It was one day when we were filming the pilot that I think Jacob [Elordi, who plays Nate] told me, he was like, 'Oh yeah, you didn't know? Your character gets [imitates brains getting blown out]."

Cloud then speculated that creator Levinson must have "liked what I did and so they decided to keep me alive and let me rock."

Wow. Considering *that* fight scene at the end of episode one, and the potential romance unfolding between Fex and Lexi, we couldn't imagine the show without him now.
