Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection Heading To Switch

The fan-favorite trilogy of Assassin’s Creed games staring the Italian assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze will be sneaking their way across roofs, through crowds, and straight onto the Nintendo Switch platform. Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection will be arriving on the Nintendo handheld on February 17th.

The game collection, which has previously been released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC will include Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. On top of that, the collection includes all the single-player DLC for all three games, as well as the Lineage and Embers short films. The one thing that is not included in the collection is the multiplayer modes that appeared in the games.

While the Assassins Creed franchise has firmly made itself a juggernaut in the gaming industry, it is easy to forget that Assassin’s Creed II was the game that helped put it on the map. Brotherhood is generally considered a solid follow-up, though Revelations is often considered the outlier of the three games.

This is not the first game in the series to eventually make it the Nintendo Switch either. Gamers on the platform can also pick up The Rebel Collection, as well as Assassin’s Creed III. Unfortunately, newer entries in the series have not appeared on the latest Nintendo console, owing to their technical needs.

Currently Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is receiving its year 2 worth of content. It was suggested that another entry in the series was planned for this year but has previously been canceled in favor of continued support for Valhalla. The next entry in the series is in development, known by the name of Assassin’s Creed: Infinite. It is rumored to be a live service title that will feature multiple time periods.
