Birmingham's own smooth jazz recording flutist Kim Scott has been named 'Breakout Artist of the Year' according to Smooth Jazz Network. Scott's fans from across the country voted and made this honor possible for her. We're told Scott has had a successful year landing her third #1 Billboard charting single 'I’m Every Woman', to landing the No. 2 Billboard position for Song of the Year 'Back Together Again.' Scott is getting ready to release her fifth album called “SHINE!" She will be having a live concert in Birmingham at the Dorothy Jemison Day Theater on Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
