The Foo Fighters are more than just a rock band. They are icons of American music. However, they will soon be more than just musicians; the members of the rock group will also be actors — sort of. In the upcoming horror movie, Studio 666, the Foo Fighters will play themselves as they grapple with the pressure of recording their 10th album well being plagued by supernatural forces. To add to the anticipation for their film, the Foo Fighters have finally released the official Studio 666 trailer.
You check out the Studio 666 trailer below:
As the trailer shows, Studio 666 looks like an absolutely wild but fun ride with one of the world’s best and maybe funniest rock bands. Each member of the Foo Fighters appears to be fully committed to making this movie a must-see not only for fans of the band but for audiences everywhere. The trailer also expands on the official synopsis for the movie.
The official synopsis for Studio 666 reads:
In Studio 666, the legendary rock band Foo Fighters move into an Encino mansion steeped in grisly rock and roll history to record their much anticipated 10th album. Once in the house, Dave Grohl finds himself grappling with supernatural forces that threaten both the completion of the album and the lives of the band.Â
Studio 666 is based on an original story by the singer and guitar player for the Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl. However, his story was expanded upon by Jeff Buhler and Rebecca Hughes, who wrote the screenplay for the movie. However, they are not the only creative minds who led the project. Studio 666 is directed by BJ McDonnell, who has worked primarily as a camera operator on dozens of projects, including other horror movies like Malignant, Annabelle Comes Home, and The Curse of La Llorona.
