The official MTV synopsis is as follows: “What mom doesn’t need a break? That’s why cast members from across the ‘Teen Mom’ franchise are coming together for a tropical vacation. But it’s not all rest and relaxation, as the moms dive deep into relationship, friendship and parenting issues.”

“Teen Mom: Family Reunion” features a number of OG faces such as Amber Portwood and Maci Bookout, who’ve been involved with the foundational “Teen Mom” series since it made its debut back in 2009 (yup—it’s been that long).
The show was born of another MTV original, “16 and Pregnant,” which featured a bunch of girls who were—you guessed it—pregnant while still in high school. While the show’s producers argued it was meant to educate teens on safe sex and what its potential consequences to have on one’s life, others believed the show glamourized teen pregnancy.
Whatever your opinion, the fact remains that the show has maintained its popularity so much so that its spawned several spinoffs and now this reunion.
