Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter has revealed her extravagant wedding plans after announcing her engagement last month.

Porter plays Theresa McQueen in the long-running Channel 4 soap and told OK! Magazine that her big day was going to be a big "show", which includes five dress changes.

Speaking to Porter, she said: "My dream has always been to come down on string on a hoop with wings, like a show. But, [my fiancé] Ollie's not that way inclined – he's not into the 'extra' stuff. I think I'd have to tone it down a bit – it's about him as well."

"I do have some ideas of style in mind – five dress changes at least!"

She will be getting married later this year so she's in full organisation mode at the moment.

"I was going along with the engagement and now we're like, 'We've got to organise the wedding bit'. In 2022, I think I'll really grow up," Porter explained.

The wedding will be a positive moment for the couple, with Porter having shared that she had a miscarriage two months ago.

She was pregnant with quadruplets but lost the babies at 14 weeks and said that she appreciated the "amazing" support she's had since sharing the news.

"So many people told me their stories as well, which was touching. No one knows what to say when people have been through a miscarriage. I want people to talk about it and ask questions."

Though the experience was sad, she is looking forward to having a family with her future husband.

"All we want is a healthy baby and, when the time comes, we'll be ready for it. With what we went through, it made us realise we really want a family together.

"We've been through so much, we know we want to be with each other," she added.

Hollyoaks airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
