Dying Light studio teases its new fantasy RPG from ex-Witcher developers
Dying Light developer Techland offered a sneak peek at its next project, “a new fantasy epic set in a sprawling open world,” in an update on Tuesday as the Polish studio tries to scale up development for its untitled fantasy role-playing game. Elden Ring mod lets you summon bosses and story NPCs as companions
After getting mauled by Malenia, Blade of Miquella for the umpteenth time, I allowed myself a little daydream: What if instead of fighting against me, Malenia could fight by my side? This is finally possible in a new Elden Ring mod made by Satoshi98, which allows players to summon bosses and story NPCs like Melina, Malenia, Godfrey, Radagon, Sellen, Millicent, and Blaidd (among others). Initially shared by PC Gamer, the mod can be downloaded from Nexus Mods, after which players can simply head to Miriel at the Church of Vows to purchase these summons.

Cult classic RPG GreedFall gets a sequel to be released in 2024
GreedFall was a 2019 RPG release that flew under the radar for many people, but became enough of a cult classic to sell two million copies. The game found success due to its classic western RPG staples like dialogue trees, romanceable companions, and a complex, long-running narrative. GreedFall put the player in the role of De Sardet, a customizable protagonist who could be either male or female and who was on a quest to a new land called Teer Fradee. On Wednesday, publisher Nacon announced that a sequel is on the way for 2024 called GreedFall 2: The Dying World.

Ubisoft will offer its subscription service on PlayStation consoles as well
Ubisoft announced on Monday that the company would be bringing its games subscription service to the PlayStation platform sometime in the near future. Ubisoft Plus is currently available on Windows PC, Google’s Stadia service, and on Amazon Luna. It will also be coming soon to Xbox consoles. The subscription service gives players access to over 100 games from across Ubisoft’s franchises and starts at $14.99 per month.

Doraemon became a cultural icon by mastering every genre
On April 7, the world tragically lost Motoo Abiko, a mangaka of nearly 70 years and one half of the comic book-writing duo known collectively as Fujiko Fujio, the creator(s) of Doraemon. During the 52 years since its creation, the titular robot cat, who travels from the future to help out a 10-year-old boy using an array of sci-fi inventions, has become a Japanese pop culture icon. The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs actually designated the character an “anime ambassador,” and Eiichiro Oda even cited the manga as an inspiration for Devil Fruits in One Piece.

Star Wars’ next feature film will be from Taika Waititi after Rogue Squadron delays
The next Star Wars movie will be Taika Waititi’s mysterious upcoming project, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy told Vanity Fair. The last time Disney updated its film release schedule, there was a Star Wars movie slated for December 2023, a release date this film will likely take. The movie will be directed by Waititi with a script by 1917 screenwriter Krysty Wilson-Cairns. There are no further plot details revealed just yet. League of Legends’ next Void champion gets a terrifying teaser
A new League of Legends champion is on the way, and she’s started her campaign of corruption in an unexpected place — the game’s lore page. Dead by Daylight’s next Killer is a big, bony bogeyman
Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive on Tuesday showed off a host of new content coming to the asymmetrical, multiplayer horror game. The studio told fans to expect four new Chapters over the coming year, with each Chapter bringing a new Killer and Survivor to the game. Behaviour is also set to release two new maps, four Tomes, and overhaul the Perks system.
