The seeds to the MCU’s new Ghost Rider were planted in WandaVision. According to sources, the Ghost Rider’s origin is rooted in the Darkhold.
In Disney Plus’ WandaVision, the Darkhold is basically an evil cookbook.
It contains magical spells and other supernatural information.
Apparently, the new Ghost Rider has ties to it.
What that is, it’s unknown for now.
A source interpreted it as how motorcyclist Johnny Blaze summoned a demon.
Afterwards, the hellish creature made a pact with Blaze. Thus, it gave Blaze his dark powers.
Writers Roy Thomas and Gary Friedrich and artist Mike Ploog co-created Blaze in 1972.
In the comics, Blaze sold his soul to the Devil to save his father’s life.
However, it was Marvel Comics’ version of the Devil: Mephisto.

Yes, the most rumored character for the MCU.
Rampant Mephisto speculation generated countless memes.
Ironically, Mephisto appeared in a Marvel film before. But it wasn’t in the MCU.
Peter Fonda played Mephisto in 2007’s Ghost Rider.
Granted, he was called Mephistopheles.
Will we finally see Mephisto?
Let’s not go there.
MCU’s New Ghost Rider Will Have Ties To WandaVision
On November 13, 2021, I scooped that Normas Reedus was in talks for Blaze. The Walking Dead star may have signed already.
After all, he can’t stop teasing it.
Moreover, Ghost Rider will debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
In addition, Blaze might not be the MCU’s only Ghost Rider.
On November 23, 2021, I leaked that Marvel Studios is interested in the ’90s version.
Specifically, that would be Danny Ketch.
In other words, the Ghost Rider with the flaming chains.

Apparently, Marvel Studios seeks both.
Ghost Riders then?
Certainly, having multiple Ghost Riders on the highway to Hell would be a twist.
Call them the skull patrol.
WandaVision opened the doors of MCU’s horrors. Then Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness grabs the baton from WandaVision.
Let’s not forget WandaVision spun off Agatha: House of Harkness already.
Still, a question lingers in the air.
In fact, it might be a black cloud.
Will Disney tone Ghost Rider down? Word has it that Ghost Rider will kill in the MCU.
