Snoop Dogg planning to sell hot dogs called ‘Snoop Doggs’
Snoop Doggy Dogg is getting in the hot dog business. Billboard reports the rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, has applied for a federal trademark registration on “Snoop Doggs,” saying he plans to use the name to sell frankfurters and other types of sausage. The intent-to-use filing doesn’t include much more detail, but Snoop has a long line of products including his own cannabis company (Leafs by Snoop), a cookbook, and a liquor line called Indoggo Gin.
However, Billboard notes that he previously said he would never eat hot dogs again after watching how they’re made during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in 2016. “This is a hot dog!? Oh cuz, I ain’t never eating a motherf---ing hot dog! If that’s how they make hot dogs, I don’t want one. I’m good,” he said. Billboard reports fans also may not ever see “Snoop Doggs” actually happen, as he previously filed a trademark for “Snoop Scoops” ice cream in 2011 but later abandoned the idea.
