Both British superstars have held down their forts for last week. 

According to the Official Charts Company, Sheeran's current album, "=", was the No. 2 best-selling album in the United Kingdom in 2021, trailing only Adele's "30" album.

'Easy On Me' is the No. 1 Single

Adele is breaking her own records because of her single "Easy On Me" which is now on its eighth non-consecutive week at No. 1 on the UK singles chart

The BRIT Award-nominated track has bested her previous five-week run at the top for her "Someone Like You" in 2021. 

Coming on third is her 2015 hit "Hello" which stayed in the top spot for three weeks. 

The Grammy-Award-winning singer-songwriter is neck-to-neck with Gayle's viral Atlantic hit "abcdefu", now at No. 2. The single jumped from No. 14 to No. 2 on the Official UK Singles Chart for a fresh peak.

As Christmas songs begin to fade from the top of the charts, numerous songs rise to the top of the weekly poll.

The music of Disney's Encanto is the most popular new entry this week, with the highest new entry. Three tracks from the film's original score were released in the UK  Top 40, led by "We Do not Talk About Bruno", which increased from No. 66 to No. 4. 

"Surface Pressure", on the other hand, jumps from No.46 to No. 14, while "The Family Madrigal" debuted at No. 30. Disney's "Encanto" was also the No. 1 Album at the Billboard 200, as it was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song and recently won a Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature Film

Also at the top from the UK Albums chart, Ed Sheeran's "=" snags the chart's crown again. 

'=' is the No. 1 Album 

The album = (equals via Asylum) by the British singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran is again at the No. 1 spot of the Official UK Albums Chart, marking the artist's third non-consecutive number one.

"=" is the "Thinking Out Loud" hitmaker's fourth No. 1 Album on the Billboard 200 chart last November 2021. 

According to MRC Data, the album, which was released on Oct. 29, earned 118,000 album units in the US for the week of Nov. 4. Album sales accounted for more than half of the total revenue.
