Shirts and hats had to be available at the 2022 College Football Playoff national championship game in case either the Georgia Bulldogs or Alabama won the game.

UGA defeated Alabama 33-18 to capture the title.

But the wrong hats were initially distributed.

ESPN showed Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Nakobe Dean with an Alabama football national championship hat after the game.

Matthew Marsh tweeted, "Ummmm Somebody gave out the wrong hats!"

One tweet asked, "Is somebody gonna tell him??"

"Whoops," said another tweet.

Another tweet said, "What’s going on with these CFP hats??"

Tommy Watkins was a little more agitated and tweeted, "Guy wins a national championship for @GeorgiaFootball and they give him an Alabama hat....come on man!"

By the postgame press conference, Nakobe Dean had the proper hat.

Alabama, ranked No. 1 in the USA Today Sports AFCA Coaches Poll, went to 13-2 overall. No. 3-ranked Georgia improved to 14-1 overall.
