EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders' Phil Mitchell will learn his fate over his prison sentence next week.
Phil (Steve McFadden) recently learned from his family lawyer Ritchie that he is looking at life in jail over the role he played in Vincent Hubbard's death three years ago.
Not wanting to cause any further upset, Phil lied to his partner Kat Slater, telling her that he's only looking at a couple of years inside as a worst case scenario.
As he anticipates remand next week, Phil is filled with guilt about not telling Kat the truth about the extent of his prison sentence.
He tries to see Raymond but is blocked by Isaac and Lola, who urge him to take more notice of his other son, Ben.
Isaac and Lola angrily tell Phil that he should be focusing his attention on Ben, following his outburst at young daughter Lexi.
Taking their words on board, Phil visits Ben to confirm if he can handle the businesses but sees there's something wrong.
However, Phil is soon given bigger things to worry about when he heads back to the police station later on.
There, DCI Keeble tells Phil his fate, but what is it? And what will it mean for his future?
EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, January 17 on BBC One.
