Skillet Baked Potatoes
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 teaspoon Sassy Steak Seasoning
- 2 set chopsticks
Sassy Steak Seasoning
- 2 tablespoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon flaked sea salt
- 1/2-1 teaspoon red pepper flakes**
Mix all of the spices together in a bowl and store in an airtight container.
**Add more or less depending on how spicy you like your seasonings.
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Heat a large cast iron skillet on a stovetop till hot.
- While skillet is heating, put the chopsticks on either side of the potato and use them as a guide to cut 1/4 inch thick slices into your potato.
- Make sure not to cut all the way through.
- Once potatoes are done, carefully set them into the skillet and drizzle with melted butter.
- Open up the slices to make sure and get all the butter and seasoning into the creases.
- Sprinkle with Sassy Steak Seasoning.
- Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and spoon drippings over the potatoes.
- Bake an additional 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven.
- Serve with a dollop of sour cream and diced green onions.
