Noella Bergener could have been just another newbie in the trio that joined the Real Housewives of Orange County cast this season. She, Nicole James, and Jen Armstrong joined the veteran cast that also include a return of fancy pants Heather Dubrow.
Noella’s immensely sloppy divorce, that seemingly happened as soon as filming started, has put the stunning brunette in the center of all the tabloids, and the drama on RHOC. As her personal life falls apart behind the scenes, Noella is in a sorry state onscreen. She’s showing up intoxicated and hysterical at times. It’s understandable, but not all her cast mates know how to react when left to deal with her on camera.
Take Noella’s recent luncheon with Nicole as an example. Poor Noella was falling apart, completely unable to control her emotions, and Nicole first reaction is clear discomfort. She tries to usher her intoxicated friend out of the restaurant, but Noella is just looking for some genuine sympathy. Sure, some of these ladies would be concerned about the optics of the situation, and Nicole’s tension was visible.
So when Noella appeared on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked her why she’s still friends with Nicole. “Number one question for you Noella is if you’re still friends with Nicole,” Andy asked.
A viewer also tweeted “How Nicole treated Noella when she was crying about her marriage ending was horrific.”

Noella responded, “I saw everything that the viewers saw as well and I called it out in the moment. The thing though with Nicole is that we had a heart to heart. There are things that you don’t really understand that I now have a really clear understanding of. She was really robbed of her voice. I can’t wait. I hope that she has an opportunity to tell what she has told me because it’s pretty shocking stuff.”
Noella added, “She’s a great girl though and I love her.”
Noella certainly knows her own mind when it comes to choosing genuine friends. She’s ready to call out any gal who comes off as phony to her. Heather and Jen currently top the list, and Noella is not shy about sharing her feelings. So if Noella decided that Nicole is a genuine friend, god bless and lets move on. Hopefully we see more of this well-intentioned Nicole as the season progresses.
