Police are looking for an Eastpointe girl who has been missing for nearly a week and whose family fears is being held against will, possibly in Detroit.

Zion Rachelle Foster, 17, was last seen by her family Jan. 4 at her home in the 22000 block of Melrose Court, in the Nine Mile Road-Gratiot Avenue area in Eastpointe.

Relatives said she later sent them a text that came from Greenfield Road, south of Eight Mile Road in Detroit. The text message said she was on her way home, but she never showed up at the Eastpointe home.

Foster’s iPhone, which has been shut off, had an account that was part of a family plan that enabled family members to track her location.

Family members believe Foster is being held against her will, according to police. They believe she could possibly be a sex trafficking victim in another state.

Eastpointe police said officers have looked into several leads and have gone to a couple of addresses they received from the family where the girl might be staying. So far, the addresses have turned out to be vacant houses.

Foster is described as a 5-foot-1 African-American teen, who has shoulder-length blonde hair and brown eyes. She was wearing her Detroit Wing Company uniform, but wasn’t wearing a coat.

Anyone who has seen Foster or has information on her whereabouts is asked to call Eastpointe police at 586-445-5100.
