One of the things I loved about the latest iteration of James Bond in No Time to Die was that it felt like the culmination of all the movies that came before it. While it had an ending none of them dared to try, it also contained direct homages to characters and easter eggs that we've seen in the past. There are references to On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Live and Let Die, Goldfinger, and many more Bond movies throughout history.

Check out this video from Pentex Productions and let's talk after.

One of the things I love about this movie was the attention to detail and care we see from the filmmakers. Director Cary Fukunaga really shows a love for Bond here, echoed by everyone on the set. From the recurring images and lines, to the costume design and shot selection, this was an excellent send-off for Daniel Craig and his iteration of the character.

In particular, I was surprised to see the lair side-by-side with the lair from The Spy Who Loved Me, which felt like the perfect subtle homage, down to the standing LED lights. The hazmat suits that matched the ones from Dr. No also caught me off guard, and I gasped when they all matched.

Some of the smaller things they did, like using lines from the books and even using Sir Ian Fleming's bungalow were really thoughtful touches that kept the modern tone of the movies but took classical elements to bolster the story choices. Of course, what carries over the entire series is the repetition of, "Bond, James Bond."

What were some of your favorite homages pointed out in this video or even ones you think they missed? Let me know what you think in the comments.
