Parmigiani Fleurier Celebrates 25th Anniversary With One-Off White Gold Pocket Watch
The unique watch uses a fully restored 19th Century Grande Sonnerie movement.
Parmigiani Fleurier has rounded out its 25th anniversary celebrations with a piece unique pocket watch highlighting the atelier’s mastery of restoration.
The brand was launched by master watchmaker Michel Parmigiani, who is recognised as one of the most talented restorer of antique clocks and watches in the world.
La Rose Carrée project started in the late 1990s when Parmigiani acquired a late 19th Century grande sonnerie and minute repeater pocket watch movement, originally made by the famed complicated movement maker, Louis-Elisée Piguet.

Parmigiani decided to completely restore the movement and put it at the centre of a one-off 64mm white gold watch.
As the name suggests a hand-engraved square rose motif, infilled with shades of blue grand feu enamel, celebrates Parmigiani’s “adherence to the golden ratio”.
La Rose Carrée is a Full Hunter pocket watch – a pocket watch with protective covers over both dial and movement. The front cover reveals an Oynx dial with white gold hands, while the rear cover reveals the fully restored movement.
The crown is set with a blue sapphire cabochon and both the movement and the square-link chain are decorated with the square rose motif.
