An ‘arctic blast’ is coming. Will you be dusting off your puffer?

We want to know your outerwear of choice for the cold winter weather.

Boston may not be known as a particularly stylish region of the country, but come wintertime, the area’s residents do have a uniform of sorts, and at the center of New England’s cold-weather fashion is the long puffer coat

We just experienced the first big snow of the season and the “arctic blast” projected for the next couple of days will be the coldest of the season so far, with wind chill causing temperatures to dip below zero across much of the region.

There are the few among us who can brave even the lowest temperatures with shorts and an iced coffee in hand, but for most New Englanders the way to get through the cold weather months is careful layering and a really great coat.

We want to hear about your winter weather staples. Are you partial to the reliable warmth the puffer provides or do you opt for more stylish alternatives? Do you have a coat you’ve been busting out every winter for the last decade or does your outerwear serve as a chance to experiment with new looks?
