Fox News’ Jesse Watters Named Permanent Host of 7 pm Hour
Jesse Watters is expanding his footprint at Fox News.
The cable network announced Monday that Watters will take over as permanent host of the 7 pm hour. The new program, entitled Jesse Watters Primetime, will premiere Monday, Jan. 24.
“Jesse’s versatility and hosting acumen has grown exponentially over the last five years, and he has developed a deep connection to the audience through two hit shows The Five and Watters’ World,” Suzanne Scott, CEO of FOX News Media, said in a statement. “We look forward to watching him expand his connection even further through this new solo weeknight hour.”
Added Watters: “I’m thrilled to take on this new challenge and am grateful for the opportunity.”
Watters succeeds Martha MacCallum, whose 7 pm program was moved to mid-afternoon last January. In the interim, a rotating group of opinion hosts, including Watters, presided over the hour.
He will continue to serve as co-host of The Five but relinquish his weekend program Watters’ World. A new host for Saturday’s 8 pm hour will be announced at a later date.
Fox News’ current primetime lineup consists of Tucker Carlson Tonight, Hannity and The Ingraham Angle. Do you think Watters is the right choice for the pre-Carlson time slot?
Looks like the big wigs at Fox really listened when people were clamoring for Watters to be fired for insinuating that Anthony Fauci should be assassinated.

Jesse watters would not have said that. Fox is very careful about things like that. MSNBC and CNN don’t care what they say because they have never been held accountable because of liberal privilege, just listen to anything out of Joy Reide, but that seems like it might be starting to change a little now.
I still don’t get what you think is in it for him to lie about COVID. Don’t you think he’d prefer to be sitting in his office doing nothing, still making the same amount of money he does anyway? Why would he bother to make MORE work for himself? He doesn’t have to worry about reelection, he has no constituents and isn’t elected.
Fauci has always been a narcissist. Even going back to when Aids first started. People that worked with him said he always had a dream of becoming famous and getting huge accolades for coming up with a vaccine that would cure an epidemic plague. He delayed therapeutics for Aid victims because he wanted to focus on a vaccine even when some of the therapeutics looked promising. It wasn’t until years later they finally focused on therapeutics instead of a vaccine and started saving lives. People like Cher like to blame Ronald Reagan for Aids deaths but if someone so narcissistic like Dr. Fauci hadn’t been put in charge of Aids then maybe lots of lives could have been saved sooner. He is dangerous, corrupt and has his own agenda for everything he does. He should have been fired decades ago.

I was hoping Lawrence Jones would get the job. Jesse is a good pick too. We watch it every day along with The Five.
I’m hoping Lawrence or Tammy will take over the Saturday time slot. I think Lawrence is more likely since Tammy Bruce may be a bit to similar to Janine

Like Jesse but I actually enjoy the format of rotating hosts. I like hearing their different approaches to conservatism.
I really liked the rotating hosts too. I especially liked Lawrence Jones, Ben D and Tammy Bruce. Like Jesse but didn’t like him as much at 7.
Maybe they’ll do the rotating hosts on Saturdays. I liked it too.
Jesse is a great choice. I miss his street interviews. Maybe he can incorporate into this show occasionally.

Great choice. I’ve liked him since his appearances on Bill O’Reilly’s show. I love Martha MacCallum, but I think the Fox News viewers are looking for more opinion, less news. And his persona is very similar to Tucker Carlson’s. He’s very erudite. I hope he sends Bill O’Reilly a nice note, thanking him for his incredible career. He has the talent, but O’Reilly gave him the opportunity. Oh, and the best part is, Fauci wanted him fired! Ha!

Jessie Watters is a news caster I watch regularly knowing I will get honest comments. He holds back no punches. Good analysis and the truth are Jessie’s greatest asset.

I think Jesse Watters is a great choice. He’s fresh, has a great sense of humor and tells the news the way it should be told. Great choice Fox News. After all He saved the world!
I think jessie watters has a great personality. At times he can be overly biased, and does not try to look at things from others perspective, but don’t we all.
He expresses himself with wit and examples or comparisons. He is not generally full of conspiracy theories like Tucker and Hannity. 3 hours of that would be way too much.

Jesse Watters has a connection with the audience that not everyone can achieve. He laughs at his own jokes, has a great sense of humor. I watch him every weekday and Saturday night. Good Luck to you Jesse !!
