PS5 UK restocks live stock alerts: GAME, Amazon, Argos and BT headline HUGE week before drops

The PS5 is back in stock from BT, although you’ll need a code to buy one.

Customers visiting the BT website will queue up for the PlayStation 5 console.

Once you reach the PS5 stock page, you have ten minutes to make your purchase. BT has warned customers that the consoles are only available online and not through its call centers.

“You are now in the PlayStation 5 queue,” the company explains. “Due to high demand from the PlayStation 5, our site is a lot busier than usual, so we’ve put you in a temporary queue.

“If you’ve arrived here from your BT account area and have a valid code, you’re set, you’ll be able to access the product page shortly. If you don’t currently have a code, come back to your BT account to claim one.

“When it’s your turn, you have 10 minutes to enter the website.”

Express Online keeps this story up to date with the latest stock developments at GAME, Argos and Amazon. You’ll find links for the PS5 retailers in the hub below.

Where to buy a PS5 in the UK?
GAME – PS5 Consoles, Bundles

GAME was one of the best places to buy a PS5 in the UK in 2021. GAME sells the PS5 Digital (£359.99) and PS5 Disc (£449.99) consoles separately, as well as a range of bundles of accessories, games and more.

FROM £359.99

Argos – PS5 Disc

Argos was the other best place to buy a PS5 in the UK this year. One of the best things about ordering a PS5 from Argos is that customers were able to pick up a shiny new PS5 console from their local Argos store not too long after placing their order.

£449.99

Argos – PS5 Digital

Unlike GAME, Argos typically only sells standalone PS5 consoles. The cheapest PS5 purchase option from Argos is the PS5 Digital console, which costs £359.99. With previous restocks, Argos has offered both same-day in-store pick-up and home delivery.

£359.99

Amazon – PS5 Disc Console

Amazon has been a great place to buy the PS5 in the UK this year. However, if you want to be first in line, you’d better update your Amazon Prime subscription. That’s because Prime members tend to get “priority access” to Amazon UK PS5 add-ons.

PRIME VIP ACCESS

Very also offers a range of PS5 purchase options for its restocks, including standalone consoles and bundles including accessories or subscription services. You can go to the Very PS5 signup by clicking here to receive email updates on the PlayStation 5.

John Lewis is another leading UK retailer taking online orders for the PS5. The iconic high street store has had new stocks for both the PS5 Disc and PS5 Digital consoles in the past. But with John Lewis, you have to act fast as stocks tend to pick up quickly.

Currys – PS5 Ordering Hub

Currys is another UK retailer that has taken orders for the PS5 this year. A VIP code is required for most 2021 Curry’s online orders. But we’ll have to wait and see if this schedule changes as PS5 stock – hopefully – becomes more readily available.

FROM £359.99

Telecom giant BT also lets customers order a PS5 through its official online store. To be in with a chance of winning a PS5 from BT, you must be a customer and also register your interest online.

As with parent company BT, EE also sells the PS5 to its customers. But you must register your interest, have received a code and also be an existing customer with a handset subscription that falls within the first 17 months of their contract.

AO.com – PS5 Store

AO.com is another retailer that has taken innovative approaches to its PS5 additions. While some PS5 add-ons have been purchased through the conventional online route, other customers have had to call the store to place an order. You can head over to the AO PS5 store to find the latest deals currently being bought online.

PlayStation 5 consoles are expected to be replenished over the course of the week, starting with a decline in BT inventory.

The next big PS5 restock will take place later today, with BT confirming that the console will be available to customers.

To be in with a chance of winning a PS5 this morning, all you need to do is sign up to receive notifications on the BT website.

“PlayStation 5 at BT – Codes are shipping today,” reads a PS5 stock check post.

Customers on the receiving end of a code are given instructions on how to redeem it in-store.

Thankfully, it’s not just BT that’s expected to restock the PlayStation 5 console this week.

Previous reports suggest that multiple UK retailers have received shipments, meaning the console should be available sometime this week.

“PS5 shipments are starting to arrive in UK retailers, so we can expect some dropouts from major retailers next week!” reads a PS5 Stock UK tweet.

In particular, fans are hoping for GAME, Argos, and Amazon to stock up on the device, as these retailers have the most inventory.

While the PS5 stock problems will likely continue throughout the year, 2022 should be a better year for new games.

It all starts with the release of the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection later this month.

The PS5 remaster includes shiny new versions of Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: Lost Legacy. Launching on January 28, the game features a brand new Performance+ mode, which targets 120 frames per second at 1080p resolution.

The Uncharted Collection will be followed by Horizon Forbidden West in February and Gran Turismo 7 in March.

Finally, if you’re hoping to get your hands on a console this week, the shopping tips below should make it easier for you.

• Use multiple devices as much as possible – desktop browser, laptop, tablet, smartphone.

• If the retailer has a dedicated app, download and use the app to purchase a PS5.

PlayStation 5 shopping tips when buying GAME…

• Familiarize yourself with the bundles so you know which one to target first: obscure bundles are easier to get, standalone bundles almost impossible. [GAME]

• Click on warning as soon as possible to your first bundle of choice, this will put you in the queue. [GAME]

• If it says it failed at checkout, it means the bundle is now OOS. So go back to the bundles and pick another one. [GAME]

• Paying too much too soon will give you a 30-60 second timeout, so don’t rush. If this happens, please wait for a while and try again. [GAME]
