Opera Parallèle Postpones Benefit Celebration ‘Over the Rainbow’

Opera Parallèle announced today that it has postponed and rescheduled its benefit concert “Over the Rainbow” featuring John Holiday.

The program will now take place on April 14, 2022 beginning at 5:15 pm.

Per a press release, Opera Parallèle’s General and Artistic Director Nicole Paiement noted that, “as we watched the sharp increase in COVID-19 cases, it became apparent that we needed to postpone and reschedule our annual benefit celebration to prioritize the health and safety of all involved.”

The program on April 14 will be countertenor and crossover artist’s San Francisco debut and will feature Holiday performing a wide range of music from opera to pop, including an interpretation of Harold Arlen’s “Over the Rainbow.”
