HBO will finally air the second season of “Euphoria” on Sunday, Jan. 9.
The premiere airs at 9 p.m. (ET), and may also be streamed on HBO Max.
Although the series aired two specials in between the first season and this one, new episodes of “Euphoria” got severely delayed thanks to ye olde COVID pandemic.
Last we saw Rue (Zendaya) in season one, she had us feeling a wee bit concerned: She had just used again after spending a long, blissful time clean, pushed down the rabbit hole once more after Jules (Hunter Schafer) up and bounced.
On top of Rue’s drama, there’s the matter of Nate (Jacob Elordi) definitely trying to figure out his sexuality in a super, shall we say, unhealthy fashion as well as Fez (Angus Cloud) who’s gotten on the wrong side of some seriously nasty drug dealers (surprise, surprise).
Then there’s Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), who unfortunately had to go through some very tough lessons in order to learn self-love, although, if the trailer is any indication, maybe she’s not entirely there yet.
The only one who seemed to have a relatively happy ending last season was Kat (Barbie Ferreira), who was making mad bank during her Only Fans-esque stint and who managed to end up with a so-far-seemingly nice guy.
But then she got a kind-of creepy message at one point, so who knows what kind of disaster that’s potentially pointing to?
