Newport County striker Jermaine Hylton has left the club by mutual consent.

The 28-year-old joined the Exiles in June 2021 but departs having made only five appearances in all competitions for the League Two side.

The former Birmingham City academy player has not made a league appearance since a 2-1 defeat to Barrow in September.

"We thank Jermaine for his efforts and wish him all the very best going forward," said a Newport statement.

Striker Jordan Greenidge has also left the club by mutual consent and Wales Under-18 defender Lewys Twamley has completed a loan move to Southern Premier South side Salisbury City until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old signed professional terms with County in the summer of 2021 after making three appearances in last season's EFL Trophy.

He has featured once this season, in the 4-3 defeat against Arsenal Under-21 in October.
