Did Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Overshadow Kate Middleton’s Birthday?
Two years ago, Phil Dampier claimed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry overshadowed Kate Middleton on her special day with the departure announcement of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The infamous Megxit shocked everyone that it reportedly impacted the birthday of Prince William’s wife the day after.
Phil, at the time, told The Sun:
“Apart from anything else, Harry and Meghan’s announcement has overshadowed Kate’s 38th birthday. It’s just another example [of] how far the so-called Fab Four have drifted apart and I doubt Harry and Meghan will be at any celebrations for Kate. It’s a sad day for the monarchy that these two brothers and their wives, who had the potential to be such a positive force, are now in this position."

Kensington Palace refused to comment on the issue when it was first published. However, in March 2021, Meghan Markle claimed that the report was untrue and stated that it was her, not Kate Middleton, who had ended up in tears following the dress fitting.
Meghan Markle furthered that Kate Middleton “owned it and apologized” to her with a handwritten note and flowers. The wife of Prince William has not publicly commented on Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.

However, royal expert Katie Nicholl claimed that Kate Middleton was “mortified” after learning about Meghan Markle’s statement. The royal correspondent even told OK! Magazine:
“From what I hear, there are different versions of the bridesmaid story, not just the one Meghan discussed. Kate felt it was all sorted, so to have it brought up again was mortifying. Kate is not in a position to respond and Meghan and Harry know that.”

Katie Nicholl went on to say that Kate Middleton has “never wanted” reports of her alleged spat with Meghan Markle to be published in the press. The broadcaster added that the Duchess of Cambridge is “so discreet and respects her personal life.”
Both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have yet to comment on the claims that they overshadowed Kate Middleton during her birthday in 2020. The branding expert claimed:
“Since moving to California and stepping down as working royals, Harry and Meghan have secured a number of lucrative business deals and personal endorsements which have seen their personal wealth rocket. I would estimate their combined net worth is circa £250million. They are really making the most of their newfound status, and their potential to become the world’s richest personal brand looks imminently achievable.”

To recall, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry first inked with Netflix. The deal, which was confirmed on Sept. 2, 2020, is said to be worth $100 million. However, The Sun later claimed that it was for $153 million.
Netflix CEO and Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos, on working with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, said:
“Harry and Meghan have inspired millions of people all around the world with their authenticity, optimism, and leadership. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry also released a statement that read:

Through our work with diverse communities and their environments, to shining a light on people and causes around the world, our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope.”
Beside their lucrative Netflix deal, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly earning from Spotify around $25 million. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, through their Archewell Audio imprint, signed on to produce podcasts and other programs that entertain and uplift streamers around the globe.
