SEDGWICK COUNTY—Authorities investigating a fatal Friday crash have identified the victim and 36-year-old Peder Simmons of Cheney.

According to Sedgwick County Sheriff's Lt. Benjamin Blick, a Toyota Camry driven by Simmons&nbsp; was northbound on 295th Street West and entered the intersection without yielding to the crossing traffic on 21st Street North. 

An eastbound Ford Focus driven by a 19-year-old man struck the Camry on the driver’s door. Simmons was ejected died at the scene, according to Blick.

EMS transported a 38-year-old female passenger of the Toyota Camry and the driver of the Ford to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Stop signs are posted at the intersection for north and southbound traffic on 295th Street West, according to Blick. The circumstances of the collisions are under investigation.
