Personal Faith

Dr. John Parker
Retired minister

The love of God which gave us salvation through Jesus Christ has also

given us the desire to live in a manner pleasing to God. But our love

for God will become productive only when we exercise our faith that

God's way of living is good for us. We carry out God's will by the

exercise of our will.

We must make our faith to be a personal thing, not just something a

Christian should do. And not a thing you do only at church. It's a

person to person thing with God. God is not distant and detached from

us. Our relationship with God goes beyond church worship inside a

church building.

Every child of God can approach God on a person to person basis,

through faith. It's a lack of faith that we turn away from God. Our

faith in God comes from within and no one else can produce it for us.

It's personal between you and God.
