Dexter: New Blood's Clancy Brown teases John Wick 4 role

Dexter: New Blood star Clancy Brown has revealed details about the character he is set to portray in the fourth John Wick instalment next year.

Initially, John Wick: Chapter 4 was slated for a May 2022 release date but has been pushed back to March, 2023 by Lionsgate.

The Keanu Reeves-led, neo-noir action thriller centres on a former hitman, who, in a quest for vengeance, comes out of retirement. But while much of the plot for Chapter 4 remains a mystery, fans can get to know John Wick newcomer Brown as he has shared details about his upcoming character.

Speaking to Collider about his foray into the franchise, the actor provided information about how his character ties into the mythology of the John Wick world.

Brown teased: "I will say it's more of the Table revealed. More of the High Table, the kind of intricacies of that authority structure is revealed. With my guy. And I am in a couple of scenes that you could argue are action scenes, I suppose. A lot of my scenes are with Bill Skarsgård, which was a lot of fun."

The Dexter star also recalled how his presence on set with Lance Riddick (Charon), provided a satisfying first impression of Reeves, which validated reports of his 'nicest guy' demeanour.

"I was there for Reddick's last evening, which was good," he said. "It was good because I really wanted to meet Lance... and all the reporting about what Keanu is is absolutely true, absolutely right."

He added: "Keanu made it a point to come and celebrate Lance a bit in that last moment, which was really nice. Good guy. He's a good guy, that Mr. Reeves."

John Wick: Chapter 4, which so far does not have an official subtitle, is directed by Chad Stahelski, who helmed the previous John Wick instalments.
