Bastian entered the NHL's COVID-19 protocols Saturday, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Bastian will need to submit two negative COVID-19 tests before rejoining his teammates, so he'll miss Saturday's clash with Columbus at a minimum. The Devils are super shorthanded up front at the moment, so they'll likely need to recall several skaters from their taxi squad to fill in against the Blue Jackets.
