The Senators activated Heatherington from COVID-19 protocols Friday.
Heatherington had been in virus protocols since last Saturday. The depth defenseman has gone pointless in nine games this season and is unlikely to get much playing time going forward, barring injuries to Ottawa's regular defensemen.
