Home and Away has confirmed that Harley Bonner is departing the soap, less than a year after joining as Logan Bennett.

In a statement issued to the Daily Mail Australia, the soap's network Channel Seven said: "Channel Seven can confirm Harley will not return to Home and Away when filming resumes in the coming weeks. Harley leaves with our best wishes and sincere thanks for his work on the show."

Harley previously played Josh Willis in Neighbours between 2013 and 2016, while his mother Carla Bonner is famous for playing Steph Scully in Neighbours across multiple stints between 1999 and 2018.

Home and Away had plenty of plans in store for Logan, who had started up a relationship with Mackenzie Booth despite his full-on and intense job. But a 2022 trailer teased the arrival of a mysterious stranger who seems to have history with him.

The character of Logan is not expected to be recast following Harley's departure.

Harley has not responded publicly to the news as of the time of writing.

Last month, it was confirmed that Sam Frost had also exited the show, shortly after agreeing to take a few months off as a medical procedure meant she wouldn't be able to get fully vaccinated for a while, although her exit was reported to not be related to that.

Filming is set to resume on Monday (January 10), with a mandate that all cast and crew must be double-vaccinated. It is unknown if Harley Bonner's exit is related to this.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia). Selected classic episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
