It’s been about nearly four months since New World officially launched on Steam. By now, a huge portion of the game’s population should’ve already reached New World’s max level. Because of this, seasoned players are complaining about the game’s repetitiveness due to a lack of endgame content. All this is going to change because Amazon Game Studios aims to add in a new feature called “Expedition Mutators”.

Expedition Mutators is an upcoming game mode in New World that’s specifically designed for endgame content. This new feature will change combat encounters and difficulties to certain quests to avoid the repetitiveness feel. Also, as max-level players take on a higher difficulty, they will be rewarded accordingly.

Expedition Mutators will also feature ten different difficulties in each quest. The game mode’s dynamic will work like a typical RPG dungeon wherein players take on different levels. Each difficulty will have a set of different rewards appropriate to each level of difficulty. Not to mention, all quests and rewards in Expedition Mutators will change weekly. This will definitely give max-level players more reasons to come back and play New World and let fans continue loving the devs.

If you’re curious about how Expedition Mutators will work, it’s now available to play on New World Public Test Realm (PTR). At least everyone can get a feel of what the game mode is like before it launches on actual servers. All players in the test realm will have a 600 Gear Score loadout. So, you don’t necessarily have to worry about grinding in New World PTR before trying out Expedition Mutators. All players are eligible to download and play in the test realm. New World PTR is now available on Steam.
