Spider-Man: No Way Home spoilers follow.
Andrew Garfield has revealed the line he ad-libbed before the epic showdown in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The latest Spider-Man movie sees familiar faces return to the franchise — in what was kept a closely-held secret throughout production and promotion for the Tom Holland-led superhero sequel.
In short, because of a botched spell performed by Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), intended to erase the knowledge that Peter Parker is Spider-Man from everyone’s memory because of the mess Mysterio left behind, it reels in characters that do know him as part of the multiverse.

Having interfered with the parameters of the spell multiple times, not only do villains Doc Ock (Alfred Molina), Green Goblin (Willem Defoe), Sandman (Thomas Haden Church), Electro (Jamie Foxx) and The Lizard (Rhys Ifans) from other timelines return, but so do other Peter Parkers — in the form of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
Now, nearly a month after its release and in an interview with Variety, Garfield revealed the line he improvised — in what became 'bromance' defined.
He explained: "There’s a line I improvised in the movie, looking at [Maguire and Holland] and I tell them I love them. That was just me loving them." Aww!

Garfield also expanded on how his latest appearance as Spider-Man served as redemption for him both in terms of the narrative and commercial aspects.
"I’m just really, really grateful that I got to tie up some loose ends for the Peter that I was playing," he said. "I love that character and I’m grateful that I got to work with these incredible actors, this incredible director, and Marvel in conjunction with Sony."
Garfield added: "It was joyful, and a feeling of closure for me. There was so many unanswered questions for my Peter, where we left it. I got to step back in and get some healing for him."
Spider-Man: Far From Home is available now on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download. Spider-Man: No Way Home is out now in UK and US cinemas.
