Nintendo Switch Getting Major 2022 Game Late
2022 is a pretty light year for video game releases, though the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and Nintendo Switch OLED are still getting some notable games before the end of the year. Between Splatoon 3, Mario Strikers: Battle League, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, Pokemon Scarlett and Violet, and Bayonetta 3, there's plenty to look forward to if you're a Nintendo fan. Switch users will also be getting The Lord of the Rings: Gollum this year, but later than everyone else. The game is set to release worldwide on September 1, on every platform minus the Switch. According to Daedalic Entertainment, the Switch version is coming in 2022, but not until later in the year.

Former Xbox Executive Warns Industry About Xbox Game Pass
Subscription services have majorly changed every facet of the entertainment industry, but games. Between Xbox Game Pass, the new PlayStation Plus, and more, it looks like that may finally be changing. And as it does, many are warning that it's not going to be a positive change for the industry. The most notable of these people is former Microsoft executive Ed Fries, who helped release the original Xbox back in 2004.

Highly-Rated Steam Game 100% Free for Limited Time
A highly-rated Steam game that is Steam Deck verified is now 100 percent free, but only for a limited time. Publishers and developers routinely make their games free on Steam whether for promotion or because the game is no longer selling copies. Typically, games that make use of this tactic aren't super notable. Today's new free game is no exception, but it's certainly more notable than most of the games made free on the PC digital storefront, where it normally costs $20. Once claimed, the game is yours to keep, no strings attached, but you have to redeem the offer before June 2.

Xbox Users Can Buy Controversial Xbox 360 Game Again After 12 Years
Xbox users across Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X can buy one of the Xbox 360's most controversial games again after 12 years. The Xbox 360 is Microsoft's best-selling console of all time, and it's not even close. And it's been the only Xbox console to give its PlayStation counterpart a run for its money. It did this with a plethora of great exclusives and timed exclusives ranging from the Gears of War series to Mass Effect. Beyond exclusivity, there was generally a large collection of great games and new IP during that console generation. Like every generation though, there were also some stinkers, such as Sonic the Hedgehog, more commonly known as Sonic '06.

Dragon Ball Super's Granolah Arc Just Made Goku Worse
Dragon Ball Super has been diving into an unseen part of Bardock's past, and all the while has been changing the perspective Goku has on himself. At the same time, fans are also starting to see Goku in a much worse light as it seems like the revelations made over the course of the Granolah the Survivor arc thus far have served to undermine everything that fans seemed to love about Goku in the first place. By highlighting more of Bardock, the series has somehow not only made Bardock worse as a character but Goku worse by comparison too.

AEW Double or Nothing 2022: Oddsmakers Predict Only One Championship Will Change Hands
AEW's Double or Nothing 2022 card takes place this Sunday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and the show's lineup is nearly complete. This week's AEW Dynamite and Rampage will confirm the finals for the two Owen Hart Cup tournaments as well as whether or not MJF vs. Wardlow will indeed happen (Wardlow has to beat Shawn Spears in a Steel Cage with MJF as the special referee, but it seems like a guarantee he'll win). BetOnline released its latest betting odds for the show on Monday and, despite a handful of championships being on the line, the oddsmakers only have one title changing hands — the AEW World Championship.

PS5 Pro Potentially Leaked
The PS5 Pro may have just been leaked by an unlikely source. There's been no word from Sony of a PS4 Pro-like revision for the PS5, but in the age of constant hardware revision, it's inevitable that the PS5 will get some type of substantial hardware revision, even if the current market and economic conditions make this endeavor trickier than normal. The PS5 Pro or something like it is going to happen, but, at the moment, Sony's lips are sealed on the matter. Unfortunately, for Sony, TCL's lips are less sealed.

2022's List of Top 10 Most-Played Games Includes Some Surprises
The list of the most-played games in 2022 so far is out, and some may be surprised to see which games made the cut and, more specifically which games didn't. Some familiar titles topped the chart including games which released nearly or over a decade ago, though the rankings were noticeably devoid of any games that actually released this year. The chart in question from the NDP only looked at the rankings from Q1 2022, however, so there's certainly reason to believe some of this year's games could break into the top 10 in the future.

The Callisto Protocol Screenshots Show Terrifying Dead Space Influence
The Callisto Protocol has received a series of new screenshots that reveal the game's Dead Space influences. The Callisto Protocol is a brand-new sci-fi horror game being developed by Striking Distance Studios, a studio founded by Glen Schofield. Schofield is responsible for co-founding Call of Duty developer Sledgehammer Games and also creating Dead Space. Although he has spent the last decade working on a series that has largely nothing to do with horror, Schofield was able to inject some terror into the zombies modes in games like Call of Duty: WWII. Following his departure from the series, it looks like Schofield is going back to his roots to create something that will be deeply upsetting for many gamers.

Adam "Hangman" Page and CM Punk met face-to-face on this week's AEW Dynamite for one final promo ahead of their AEW World Championship match at this Sunday's Double or Nothing. Punk consistently asked why Page was so upset about the match and why he was taking things so personally, while Page angrily cut a promo about how he pitied Punk and how he would be defending all of All Elite Wrestling from him. Punk retorted by saying he paved the way for AEW and everything Page was able to accomplish, then demanded the champion shake his hand. After a shove, Page finally lot it and nailed Punk with a punch.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 Map Leaks Online
The Call of Duty: Warzone 2 map has potentially leaked online, or at least a drawing of it. The leak comes courtesy of Tom Henderson, a prominent Call of Duty leaker and insider. As you would expect, the map is comprised of land, mountains, ocean, and rivers. In other words, it has everything players would hope from a battle royale map, though it looks like the ocean will play a minor role in the map's dynamics. And of course, there will also be a "modern city" to provide that proper urban warfare as well.
