Just wondering

I was just wondering, would a person really risk their personal health and the health of others by taking internal medical advice from, say, a chiropractor who is concerned with orthopedic issues as they suggest the person take a parasitic medicine designed to remove parasites from cows to cure a virus?

Why would parents yield to decisions from their minor children about whether or not to wear masks to protect themselves from the spread of a communicable illness but refuse to let them decide whether or not to use toilet paper? Are these the same parents who abide by the safety regulations at Disney World?

Why is it that when Congress discusses a complete shutdown of the federal government the only people unaffected are representatives, senators and their staffs?

Why would people who claim to believe in the truth exchange that truth for a lie, knowing full well what some are saying is a lie?

Why would people issue blame for societal woes on people who get assistance from the government but would not be willing to give up their Social Security checks or food stamps?

Why would people be willing to give up their own hard-earned principles so that seemingly unprincipled people could hold political office?

Why is it that a local university that I won’t name saddles undergraduate students with debt yet pays an unsuccessful coach $12 million to leave?

I was just wondering.

History repeats itself

I love reading history, especially history about World War II. Did you know that under Hitler, the philosophy of Nazi Germany was “National Socialism?” Under the current administration, the liberal left wants America to be a socialist nation. Sound familiar?

Have you ever heard of “Kristallnacht?” That was the night in 1938 when Hitler had his brown shirt thugs attack and destroy Jewish-owned businesses. In 2020, antifa and BLM destroyed American cities and burned American-owned businesses. Sound familiar?

Under Hitler, the Jews were considered enemies of the state because the feeling was that they were stealing from the state. The liberal left feels the same way about the people in this country who create jobs and are successful. The left wants to tax them and spread their wealth around. Sound familiar?

In Germany, the Nazis took guns away from private citizens; in this country the liberal left wants to do that same thing. Sound familiar?

Did you know that the sign over the gate at the entrance to Auschwitz reads, “Work Will Set You Free”? If that’s true, then why did the current administration continue paying people to stay home and not work? That’s not familiar, that’s crazy.

Ever hear the saying, “Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it”? In this country, the left likes to change history, or teach fake history. And you do remember that the left spent four years calling President Trump a Nazi, right?

Racial divide

Every day and in every way the news media is trying to divide us racially more and more. For what? Not the truth.

You see, I remember half a century ago there were no Black players on football teams in the South — let alone basketball. Change occurred, and look at us now. Sixty percent of football players are black and 90% of the paying fans are white. And 80% of basketball players are Black and, again, 90% of the people in attendance are white.

Systemically racist America? Really? Come on, man!
