Drinkbox Studios, the developer behind Guacamelee! and its sequel, has announced that its newest offering Nobody Saves the World will arrive later this month.

Nobody Saves the World is an action RPG that sees you playing as a literal featureless Nobody. However, they have the ability to transform into one of fifteen different forms, each of which gives them specific skills and abilities. These range from things like rats and robots, to rogues and even an egg in this trying time.

You’ll be able to mix and match over 80 different form abilities to suit your playstyle as you tackle a bunch of unique quests. The game also features procedurally generated dungeons, that increase in difficulty as you go to keep you on your toes. On top of this, there’s also a huge overworld to explore in Nobody Saves the World too.

Elsewhere you can expect a soundtrack from Jim Guthrie, the man responsible for the music in celebrated indie titles Below and Sword and Sorcery EP.  In addition, co-op play is supported so a friend can join you on your adventure. You can check out a trailer for the game for yourself down below.

Nobody Saves the World looks like a lot of fun, and we were big fans of Guacamelee! here at Videogamer too if that’s any indication of what to expect. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass from launch too. Nobody Saves the World arrives on January 18 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
