Brand New Music Shares a Sneak Peek of Its New Boy Group Including a Former JYP Trainee and X1 Member

Brand New Music's New Boy Group Including a Former X1 Member and a Former JYP Trainee Revealed through a Dance Video

On Jan. 6, Brand New Music uploaded a surprise dance video on a YouTube channel named "BRANDNEWZ." The two-minute clip presents a group of boys showcasing their talent in dancing. The boys are none other than the company's trainees who will debut as a new boy group sometime in the first of the year.

As previously announced, Brand New Music is planning to launch its next boy group that will target the global market. The agency started setting debut plans in June of 2021, which included finalizing the debut lineup and forming an exclusive team to systematically manage the group.

It was also revealed last year that Brand New Music's new boy group will consist of multi-talented and unique members including Lee Eun Sang, a former X1 member who was active as a solo artist since the group's disbandment.

Further, the label shared that during the process of forming the upcoming idol group, the members were introduced through a private showcase for industry personnel.

And through the dance video that Brand New Music recently posted, one member was identified to be Lim Kyeong Mun, a former JYP trainee and a former "LOUD" contestant.

The newly released video, which presents a dance cover of Audrey Nuna's "damn Right," features nine members executing the choreography made by Koosung Jung, who is known to have worked with famous idol groups like The Boyz and NCT.

As of writing, the "damn Right" cover of the nonet has surpassed 100,000 views and in the comments, fans are expressing their excitement about their upcoming launch.

About Brand New Music's Current Boy Group AB6IX

At present, Brand New Music manages only one idol group and that is the boy band AB6IX, which consists of four members namely Woong, Donghyun, Woojin and Daehwi. The two latter members are former WANNA ONE members.

AB6IX was originally a five-member group but Youngmin left in June 2020 due to his DUI (driving under the influence of alcohol).
