The Late Late Show to Take Brief Hiatus After James Corden Contracts COVID
Another late-night talk show — this time CBS‘ Late Late Show With James Corden — will go on a short hiatus, following Corden’s positive COVID-19 test result.
“I just tested positive for COVID-19. I’m fully vaccinated, boosted and because of this am fortunate enough to say I feel completely fine,” the host shared in an Instagram post on Thursday. “The show will be off the air for the next few days. Stay safe everyone.”
A rep for The Late Late Show confirms to TVLine that repeats will air tonight through Monday, Jan. 17, with plans to resume new episodes on Tuesday, Jan. 18. Tonight’s installment — which originally aired Nov. 18, 2021 — features actress Salma Hayek and country singer Keith Urban.
The Late Late Show is the second late-night series to take a COVID-caused break: NBC’s Late Night With Seth Meyers is also currently on hiatus after Meyers announced earlier this week that he had contracted the virus. The fast-moving Omicron variant of the coronavirus has also impacted production of several primetime series, including NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles (the latter of which won’t resume filming until February), Chicago Fire and a handful of ABC series, Grey’s Anatomy among them.

At this rate of infection the networks should start thinking of a 12 episode season for all their shows and then after a single rerun give us all new programs to complete the year.
OK, we need to shut down everything again… Look like the vaccine is not doing much for protection and like 50% of the USA is not vaccinated this is bad! Some false statements here, Trump is not bankrupt, and he was twice acquitted of all charges!
He’s still twice-impeached; just because the former Senate Majority Leader and still-current collaborator threw it out of the Senate doesn’t make him any less impeached by the House, and sure as heck doesn’t make him “twice acquitted”.

I’m not sure if you understand how these trials work, think they explain it on CNN a few times… he was indeed twice acquitted. The house can only start the trial the Senate is the Jury and, they didn’t have the voices… what was the end of that and mostly a huge waste of time to do nothing…
Also, all that “money he’s conned from his gullible cultists” seems like a far-out statement because if you talking about his supporters they are mostly the lower class according to pulling data. I highly doubt they got the huge account of money needed to keep Trumps’ businesses open… The main source of the campaign clearly was the big companies that really control the USA.
I personally didn’t think he was good as a USA present neither but so far I feel like he was doing more them Biden in his first year.. There is zero proof of that. He rushed the vaccines to market. It was people like Rachel Maddow that falsely claimed that if you were vaccinated you could not only not get the virus but not spread it. That was a lie from day one. Now the media is FINALLY catching up to the reality that this virus is endemic and whether you are vaccinated or not, you r going to likely get and spread it.
Dude, you need to practice some reading comprehension skills. No one has ever said the vaccine prevents infection. It prevents serious illness, just like the flu shot does. Seriously, this information has been available for a long time.
You should definitely check out the threads on Twitter that compile all the times officials actually did say it prevented infection, it’s kind of eye opening

I guess that depends on whether you consider Dr. Fauci and Dr. Walensky medical professionals or not. There are literally videos of them saying the vaccine prevents you from getting infected and transmitting the virus. There are also videos of President Biden saying the same thing, though I think we can all agree he is definitely not a medical professional…though a lot of people do listen to and trust what he says since he’s the leader of our country
It’s important to remember that the virus itself has changed in large part due to the fact that it mutates much more readily in unvaccinated people. Prior to omicron, the vaccines did in fact prevent most infections. With omicron, that’s not the case (but it still protects against most hospitalizations and deaths).
More people vaccinated = less chance for the virus to mutate = greater protection from vaccines.
You’re correct that they no longer prevent infection as well as they used to, but that’s because the virus changed and the vaccines were created when the original strain was most prevalent. :)
The vaccine never prevented you from getting infected, ever. Even in the trials, people still got infected after taking it. All it ever did was lower the severity of how sick you would get if you were infected. But initially, that is not how it was being sold to the public. We were being told it would prevent you from getting infected, even though all the vaccine manufacturers said that was not the case.

Vaccinations and boosters are protecting so many from becoming extremely ill from the virus mutations. I am so grateful for that and will gladly be first in line should any future boosters be needed. Science is knowledge and knowledge is truth.
