Caitlan Tucker, PA-C at Brio Internal Medicine, which has three locations in Greenville County, said fitness goals are important, like increasing your daily exercise. But, she said, to also focus on your mental health and happiness. She recommends monitoring how often you're on social media. She said if looking at social media is giving you stress or anxiety, pay attention to that and cut back on scrolling. Tucker said a very attainable goal is to drink more water. "It can give you more energy, feel less fatigued, make you feel fuller," Tucker said. She said the more clear your urine is, the more hydrated you are. Tucker said as you plan the year ahead, don't skip routine health screenings. She said you should see your health care provider at least once a year. "The main thing is that if we miss these health screenings, we can potentially miss things that are easily treatable and easily controlled with medication or diet. And if we don't screen for these things and we miss it, these problems can become more cumbersome for the patient, more expensive, and more difficult to control or manage," Tucker said.
