The Batman Up Close: Robert Pattinson's Caped Crusader Shows Ominous New Look


The Batman is one of the most awaited movies arriving this year and while it may not be canon to the current DCEU slate, it remains to be a promising iteration of the titular character as it gives a more grounded version of the Caped Crusader with Robert Pattinson. In a promotional shoot, an ominous new look shows the Dark Knight up close.

The Batman gets an ominous closer look in a photo shared by Rolling Stones on their official Instagram account. The shot is from the waist up providing an up-close look on the finer details of Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader and of his impressive suit complete with the Batman logo on his chest and complemented with a matte chest plate.

Robert Pattinson’s caped crusader would be gracing the screens soon and, in a few months, we will also see the other characters in his stand-alone film which would neither be part of the DC Extended Universe nor the Arrowverse.

Matt Reeves’ The Batman will circle around the story of Batman from the time when Bruce Wayne is just starting before becoming the vigilante of Gotham and it will be set during the first few years of Batman fighting the crimes in the city exploring the corruption which may involve his own family and he will also be facing a serial killer, the Riddler.

The Batman has faced a series of delays following the pandemic and has been one of the earliest productions to be hit by COVID-19 wherein its main star, Robert Pattinson, was one of those who tested positive early on. Production continued after his recovery.

Robert Pattinson leads the amazing ensemble of The Batman as the Caped Crusader and alongside him is Zoe Kravitz as Selena Kyle/ Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as GCPD’s James Gordon, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Andy Serkis as Alfred, Peter Sarsgaard as D.A. Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Real, and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot.

The Batman is scheduled for release in theaters on March 4, 2022.
