(KNSI) – CentraCare has announced COVID-19 booster shots are now available for children ages 12 to 15.

According to a press release, children ages 12 to 15 who have completed their initial COVID-19 vaccination series more than five months ago are now eligible to receive a booster dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. A parent or guardian must consent to the vaccination.

CentraCare is holding a vaccine clinic Saturday, January 8th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at CentraCare South Point. Appointments are appreciated, but walk-ins are welcome.

Anyone in need of a COVID-19 vaccine or booster can call CentraCare Connect (320-200-3200) to schedule an appointment at several locations, receive the vaccine during a regular primary care clinic visit or walk in to the vaccination clinic at CentraCare South Point Monday, Tuesday, and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
