Carlisle United have re-signed Burton Albion winger Omari Patrick on an 18-month deal, while goalkeeper Mark Howard has extended his stay.

Patrick, 25, joined the Brewers in June 2020 from Carlisle after scoring seven goals in 47 games.

However, he only played 12 matches after moving to the Pirelli Stadium.

Howard, 35, joined in October to provide cover and has kept seven clean sheets in 16 appearances, good enough for a deal until the end of the season.

"Once his name cropped up everybody here - and obviously I don't know the lad - but everybody said the same thing, that they wanted to try to get him," boss Keith Millen said of Patrick.

"It's good to see that he's rated by those who know him from last season, he has good history here, he's fond of the place, and he has a good relationship with the players in the dressing room."

Howard has played 317 senior games and lists Sheffield United, Blackpool and St Mirren among his former clubs.

"Mark has shown his experience, which we need," Millen added.

"He's been consistent in his games and training. He talks around the place and passes on his experience, so I was keen for him to stay on."
