Howdy folks—I was told there was going to be a party here at Siena Gardens for us people by the activities Director, Natasha. Well, as my friend always said, I’d tell you boys by golly she was right. There were 35 to 40 people, residents at the party. Her husband Josh played Grinch. He sure played Grinch in a very fine way. He had his picture taken with almost every person here. The Director promised every person a gift and she did not miss anybody. She did a super job of setting up the program. Her son helped her. He is the activities aide. All three of them did a super job of running the Siena Gardens Christmas party.

It is a pleasure for me to be living here. The young ladies that do the laundry, fix the meals, and take care of the people that live here are great. There is 24-hour service to meet our needs. The Siena Gardens is such a wonderful place to stay. They have a program each afternoon of some activity like bingo or some other type program. At 11 o’clock they will have a Bible study. They are having different events for the people to attend. The other lady that is always involved with the operations is Phyllis Jodrey, the Director of Nursing. She puts in a lot of hours. These ladies all do such a fine job. As I write this I am watching the Bengals and hope they win.

I talked to the Boars Head Bait Shop in Afton and the lady said folks were fishing and the crappie are biting good with some big ones being caught. They are also catching sauger along with other fish. That is good. The fishing has been good this year. There are a lot of folks coming to visit their parents and friends. I had a good Christmas here. My daughter and son-in-law and two granddaughters came by on Christmas Eve to visit. I asked them how the little girls were doing and they said OK. They are excited about Christmas and gifts they will get. I talked to my buddy Dan, and he was told the sauger are starting to bite real good with some good size sauger being caught. They tell me Grant Lake is producing some fine big fast. That is good. The report I got from Rocky Fork is that they are catching some fine fish. The State Parks are such a blessing for people to camp or just visit with their family. Here at East Fork, we have the Steve Newman trail around the park so people can walk the trail and a fine campground. There is also the swimming beach, an archery course named after the retired manager (Rooks Archery Range), and excellent launching ramps for boats.

Start your week by praying and praising the good Lord.

God bless all …
