Netflix's latest edge-of-your-seat thriller Stay Close has only been out for a few days but you've probably already binged the whole thing, we certainly have. And we're not the only ones, Twitter is full of fans discussing the new Harlan Coben series, but they're all a bit divided over two specific characters.

The series is part of Coben's five-year deal with the streamer, and is the latest adaptation of the author's bestselling mystery novels to hit screens following the success of The Stranger, Safe, and The Woods.

In case you need a recap the series follows three people living separate but increasingly dramatic lives; Megan (Cush Jumbo), Ray (Richard Armitage) and Detective Broome (James Nesbitt). As the story unfolds the trio realise how interconnected their worlds are, and are forced to take drastic action as the past comes back to haunt them.

Well, while we were all binging the show for the second or third time others were taking to Twitter to discuss two very divisive characters from the Netflix show; bizarre assassins Ken and Barbie.

The pair, played by Hyoie O'Grady (Ken) and Poppy Gilbert (Barbie) are introduced in episode two when they go after Vipers dancer Tawny Allure - a key witness in the disappearance of Carlton Flynn - eventually murdering her.

While these sinister hitmen spend the whole series doing terrifying deeds, their characters are made all the more unsettling because of their butter-wouldn't-melt-musical-theatre behaviour. Not only do they often break into song and dance numbers, but they also do all their killing and torturing with a smile. It's odd, to say the least, and it has fans on Twitter completely divided over whether the act makes the characters even scarier or whether they're just plan annoying.

Terrifying or annoying? Maybe both? Either way, we can't stop watching.
