A hilarious video of a baby interacting with a cactus toy has gone viral online, picking up more than 17.2 million views.
In the footage, shared to TikTok by a woman called Brittany Mills, known on the app as Millsappmafia, a small baby wearing a pink romper is seen sitting on a fluffy carpet.
Opposite her is a toy in the shape of a potted cactus, and the child reaches out to touch it.
A woman's voice can then be heard instructing her to "talk to it."
The infant, who is too young to form words, then makes a nonsensical array of sounds.
This prompts the cactus toy, which is electronic, to wiggle as it plays back the sounds the child has just made.
The clever toy is made by seOSTO and can be purchased on Amazon.
In the clip, which can be viewed here, the child is both perplexed and delighted as she "talks" back to the cactus, which keeps mimicking her, and the two appear to be having a charming conversation.
At one point the infant even bounces up and down with happiness. The sweet clip has been captioned: "Her facial expressions #thesingingcactus."

Since the video was shared to TikTok on November 5 it has gained lots of traction online, having surpassed 3.7 million likes and 299,300 shares.
Many people also rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts on the adorable footage.
One TikTok user, KC, wrote: "She's like FINALLY someone speaks my language around here."
Another person, Regine Carter, added: "idk [I don't know] what your baby said but mine heard them and just started laughing hysterically."
Evergreen typed: "I can't believe she's talking about politics at her age."
Kenzie Thomas joked: "My baby is requesting to speak to your baby. He won't let me scroll. He screams."
Ola revealed: "I really like the older sister's approach, she didn't interrupt and didn't want to be in the center of attention like many other kids, good job!"
