Battlefield 2042 Season 3 is just around the corner and EA DICE are gearing up for the launch with fresh batch of content

EA's Andy McNamara says that the things players are expecting from the game take time to scope, design, and execute.

Battlefield 2042 players are not quite happy with the current state of the game and have been voicing their discontent with EA and DICE over social media and Reddit. Sometimes, players offer constructive criticism but as always with gaming communities, there are plenty of toxic comments which certainly don't help.

Andy McNamara, Global Director of comms for shooter games at EA has shared a couple of tweets where he tried to explain why EA and DICE have been staying silent lately.

He said that the team has been on break during the Holidays and will share and updates when ready.

"Battlefield fans are pissed we didn't do enough updates or communication during the Holiday break. Guys, people gotta rest. We have things in motion but have to figure out what is possible. We will address it when are 100%," McNamara tweeted.

He added that Battlefield fans need to let the devs work on these updates and remember that big changes and reworks require a lot of time.

"Let us get back from break and back to work. Love you guys but these expectations are brutal. The things you want take time to scope, design and execute."

The tweets have been deleted in the meantime and Mcnamara apologised since his message was not clear enough.

EA Battlefield 2042 Portal in action

Battlefield 2042 players have been asking for tweaks and reworks of many features ever since the game launched a couple of months ago. One of the most requested changes is to scrap the Specialists system and introduce the traditional class system. They would also love to see smaller maps with smaller player counts as well as the return of scoreboards.

We're certain that EA and DICE will start delivering some of these changes in the near future but one does wonder, why some of the features were not in the game in the first place.
