New spoilers for the year ahead have teased another troubling period for Sid, even after he managed to get out of the County Lines drug dealing group and come to terms with the loss of his leg.
At the moment, Sid is struggling with his feelings for Serena Chen-Williams while he dates her sister Lizzie – but that's just the start.
According to Inside Soap, Sid's life will be turned upside down in the coming months when a familiar face from his past returns to the village.

Shattering his hopes of a fresh start after putting his recent ordeals behind him, Sid is faced with the secrets of his old life coming to light.
When a "bad decision" is made, either by Sid or someone close to him, the consequences are potentially life-changing, with spoilers revealing a shock accidental overdose.

Elsewhere in Hollyoaks, it was recently revealed that John Paul McQueen will struggle with alcohol in an upcoming storyline.

The soap has been quietly laying the foundations for the plot, with John Paul often seen having a drink and even drunkenly punching Ste Hay last year.
The long-running character, played by James Sutton, will lose control of his drinking in the coming months, and at one point will even sneak booze onto school premises.
Hollyoaks airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
